If you see yourself as a team player than this customer service job can be fun, although you will spend much of your day on the phone, there will be team meetings, birthdays and group training to attend. There is also parties for coworkers and showers for the mom’s or brides to be.
Tight bonds develop between the call center workers and other team members and are just about impossible to break. A customer service rep is a special type of person who works with stress and can be a decision maker. You will need to tell the difference between the typical call about a late payment and one that requires all your attention as this is the basis of this type of work.
Excellent verbal and written skills are a must as well as problem solving and being a good listener.
You will also run a phone with multiple lines and need the basic computer skills. Researching problems is another part of this job so solving problems is another piece of the puzzle. Anyone working with customer card must be flexible also.
