Underwriter Jobs

As an insurance underwriter you can play a part in the lives of others everyday and considered one of the best positions in the insurance industry. This job entails the reviewing of risk of the business or person who is purchasing the insurance as well as the item that is to be insured. This person will scan policies and coverages as a way to find if the customer has the correct insurance coverage.
This job would be a good fit for those who are detail-oriented and those who like to piece together all the little bits of the day to day needs of being an underwriter. Much a your day can be spent looking over policy coverages and explaining the effects of changes made to a policy.
A few requirements are need though, for instance, a college graduate who was schooled in quantitative studies. Dealing comfortably with the public is another plus since giving bad news is part of this job. For customer service reps, the underwriter is the person to see because they are the ones who have all the answers.
